Help Your Child Flourish

What factors lead to allowing a student to flourish?
How can these factors be enhanced?
Students who possess a number of positive strengths and qualities are said to be “flourishing.” Flourishing students display optimal academic, interpersonal, and psychological functioning – both now and later as adults. But what are these factors, and how do you as a parent ensure your child is benefitting from them?
This presentation, led by Dr. Rich Gilman of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, will provide data that can answer these important questions. Dr. Gilman is a
professor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the director of school-based mental health programming. He is also the director of the Greater Cincinnati Youth Resiliency-Risk Project.

On April 29, 2018, The Spotlight Variety Show will celebrate it’s 20th performance, showcasing the amazing talents of IH students in grades K-5.  Spotlight is not only a talent show, it is also an essential fundraiser for the IH Music and Art Department, and 100% of the proceeds directly benefit these programs at the Primary and Elementary schools.  Do you have a K-5 student who would love to share their talents on the big stage?  If the answer is yes, mark your calendars with the following dates:

Primary Pacers

Is your child a natural born runner or are you looking for a way to help burn some of their energy during the cold months?  Then Primary Pacers is the after school club for your child!
Starting February 6th, students will begin a running program to train for the Conquer the Hill 5k on Saturday, April 21st.Beginning February 6th, the group will meet after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:35-4:15pm with the exception of February 15thand March 15th.
The runners will be training on the paths around the baseball field next to the school and at Stephan Park.  In the event of rain or extreme temperatures, we will train indoors at the school.  Students can be picked up at the front of the school at 4:15.
The cost will be a $20. Checks can be made payable to Indian Hill Primary School and be sent in with your child to the  attention of Mrs. Amy Campa. Please write “Primary School Pacers” in the memo line of your check. The funds will be used for running incentives and a race day t-shirt for your student.
Due to high demand, this year the club will only be open to 1st and 2nd graders.
Please register ASAP as membership will be capped at 30 students. Once registration is confirmed send in your money and your child will be directed to this club on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school unless a note is sent in with your child indicating otherwise on the day the club meets.
