The following is a brief explanation of the various District PTO Committees.  These programs benefit and engage the Indian Hill Community and Families across all grades K-12.     Parent volunteers chair and run all program committees. For further information on a particular committee, please call or email the chairperson for this school year.


BoxTops:   A committee promotes collection of  General Mills BoxTops, sorts and sends in for dollars for the schools.

Bus Driver Appreciation Event:  Indian Hill School District has many partners, which help to “drive” our children’s educational future. One such partner is our own district transportation department. Please join us by showing your support and thanks for the Indian Hill Bus Drivers during their Appreciation Event.  There are several donation opportunities available where you can be just a click away from showing your support.   As always, please follow the district wide peanut free allergy policy when donating items. Drop off times will be listed in the signup link. Thank you in advance for making this a great event for our bus drivers! Thank you for volunteering. Fall Teacher Conference Dinners:  Meals are organized and served during conference evenings in the fall.  Coffee is served in the mornings.

Global Parent Network:   This program is designed to welcome and integrate International families into the school community. All nationalities are encouraged to participate.   Assistance with language issues, community programs, and other concerns are addressed.  LEARN MORE HERE…Global Parent Network

Health Screening:  Vision and hearing screenings are conducted for students in the fall.  Volunteers conduct these tests at the school.

Media Center:  Volunteers work in the library once a month, usually for 2 hours.

Membership:  Committee members promote PTO membership and collect membership fees at Meet the Teacher Nights and PTO meetings. This is primarily a fall activity.

New Family:  This group provides information to families new to the school district.  Goodwill Ambassadors are assigned to new students to help them acclimate to their new school.

Orientation:  Prepare for and staff Orientation and Meet the Teacher nights.  During Orientation, school fees are collected, locker assignments and schedules are given to students, and school supplies are picked up.

Picture Day

Pre-Order School Supplies:  Ordering and distribution of pre-packaged school supplies. Ordering is done in the spring and distribution is done in early August at orientation.

Staff Appreciation Event:  Parent volunteers provide the teachers and staff with  baked goods, lunch, notes and gifts to show support and appreciation for their efforts on behalf of the children. This takes place in May.

“Welcome Back” Luncheon:  Coordinates luncheon for the school staff the week before school starts.
