The following is a brief explanation of the various Middle School PTO Committees. Parent volunteers chair and run all program committees. For further information on a particular committee, please call or email the chairperson for this school year.

Academic Recognition: All A’s lunch events for students are organized three times per school year. Students who receive all A’s during 1st, 2nd or 3rd quarter are treated to a special lunch in the MS multi-purpose room.
Book Fair: Volunteers staff a week-long book fair during school hours and Teacher-Parent evening conferences. Volunteers staff a week-long book fair during school hours and Teacher-Parent evening conferences.
Party In The Middle: A spring and fall casual evening gathering for the Middle School Students at the IHMS. There are two held each year on Friday evenings. PIM usually include games, a DJ, prizes, bake tables and food trucks.
Eighth Grade Graduation: PTO sponsored graduation party. A celebration held for 8th grade students in the late afternoon/early evening on the last day of school.
Fall Teacher Conference Dinners: Dinner is provided for teachers during parent teacher conferences.
Health Screening: Assists the school nurse for 7th grade vision screening during August registration and a school-wide Multiple Scoliosis screening during 3rd quarter.
Media Volunteer Coordinator: Finds volunteers to assist in the Media Center for 2 hours/month.
Schedule Pick Up/Orientation: Assists the front office in stuffing envelopes and finding volunteers for tables during 6th, 7th and 8th grade schedule pick up.
Staff Appreciation Event: Organizes breakfasts, lunches and grab and go snacks for teachers in April.
Welcome Back Luncheon: Chairs organize a catered lunch for teachers.
